Engines
The engine range of the Amarok 2023
The Amarok’s engine range includes three diesel engines, each in two power ratings:
- the 3.0 l TDI engine with 177 kW or 184 kW
- the 2.0 l TDI engine with 151 kW or 154 kW and biturbocharger system
- the 2.0 l TDI engine with 110 kW or 125 kW and monoturbocharger system
A petrol engine is offered as an alternative to the diesel engines:
- the 2.3 l TSI engine with 222 kW

Injection system: Bosch common rail
The 3.0 l TDI engine has the following technical features:
- Cast-iron cylinder block
- Aluminium cylinder heads
- Two overhead camshafts
- Four valves per cylinder
- Steel pistons
- Bosch common rail fuel injection system with piezo injectors
- Electrically adjustable turbocharger (VTG turbocharger)
- Oxidising catalytic converter/diesel particulate filter
- SCR system
- High-pressure fuel pump with demand control.

Injection system: Continental
The 2.0 l TDI engines with 151 kW and 154 kW differ from the power variants with 110 kW and 125 kW by a modified engine control unit software and the use of a biturbocharger system.

- Steel conrod as trapezoidal conrod
- Forged steel crankshaft
- High-pressure fuel pump with demand control
- Injection system with piezo injectors
- High-pressure exhaust gas recirculation
