Changing the Region Code on the Volkswagen RNS 510
The region code on the RNS510 is set at the factory, in Australia the cars arrive with a Region code of 2 which is viewable by using
VCDS and looking at the measuring blocks (there are two places the region code is listed).
Changing the region code is quite simple, open controller 37 (Navigation) or 56 (Radio), go to channel 130 in adaptation and change the value to 1 to 6. 0 doesn’t make the player all regions.
0 Informal term meaning “worldwide”. Region 0 is not an official setting; discs that bear the region 0 symbol either have no flag set or have region 1–6 flags set.

2 Western and Central Europe, Western Asia, Egypt, Japan, South Africa, Swaziland, British overseas territories, French overseas territories
3 Southeast Asia; South Korea; Hong Kong

6 Mainland China
7 Reserved for future use
8 International venues such as aircraft, cruise ships, etc.
ALL Region ALL discs have all 8 flags set, allowing the disc to be played in any locale on any player.
