Heated Seats

On models with heated seats, check the electrical circuit to the seats as described in ELECTRICAL SYSTEM before assuming that a heating element is faulty.

To replace the heating elements, remove the seat as described above. Separate the backrest wire from the seat wiring connector. See Fig. 4-44.

Remove the backrest from the seat cushion by removing the left and right trim pieces and the hinge screws. Remove both seat covers and heating elements. Lay the new heating elements against the seat without wrinkling the elements. Install the seat covers and route the wire harness as shown above in Fig. 4-44, and in Fig. 4-45.
