7.2 Transmission Gear Train Disassembly and Assembly

Fig. 7-19 is an exploded view of the transmission main shaft components. The pinion shaft components are shown earlier in Fig. 7-10. Many of the procedures described in this section of the manual suggest or require the use of special tools. Unless otherwise specified, the numbers which appear in the illustrations identify Volkswagen special tools by their Volkswagen tool numbers.
