6.1 Rear Shock Absorbers and Springs

The rear shock absorbers are removed and installed like any conventional stand-alone shock absorber. In this case, the coil spring is removed or installed at the same time. When the rear suspension is fully extended, as when the car is supported on jack stands, the springs will no longer be compressed and can be removed safely.
