Volkswagen recommends replacement of the brake fluid every 2 years, to protect against corrosion and the effects of moisture absorbed into the brake fluid. The procedure is described in detail in BRAKES. If you lack suitable equipment to perform this job properly, service by an authorized Volkswagen dealer or other qualified repair shop is recommended.
