Checking Coolant Level

Because the expansion tank is transluscent, the coolant level can be checked visually without opening the system. With the engine cold, the coolant level should be between the MIN and MAX marks on the expansion tank, as shown in Fig. 6-6. If it is necessary to add coolant, remove the cap and add it to the expansion tank only.
