The windshield is bonded in place and requires special tools and materials to replace it. A windshield replacement kit, part no. D 004 300, is available from an Authorized Volkswagen dealer, and contains materials and directions for replacing the windshield. In addition, the interior beading and the exterior molding should be replaced with the windshield.
