1.2 Seats, Seat Belts, and Interior

The front seats are individually mounted to the floor. Bench-style rear seats are clipped to the body. Folding rear seats are bolted to the floor. Both styles are easily removed for access to the rear seat belt mountings and for access to the fuel gauge sending unit.

Two types of seat belts are installed on the cars covered by this manual: a typical three-point seat belt that crosses the hips and the shoulder, and a two-point passive restraint system that crosses the chest and has an additional knee bar. Two-point sytems have an ignition interlock that disables the ignition if the seat belts are undone when starting the engine.

All interior trim including the headliner is easily removed using ordinary hand tools.
