CIS-E and CIS-E Motronic Diaphragm Pressure Regulator

The diaphragm pressure regulator, shown in Fig. 4-18, is mounted on the side of the fuel distributor. It controls system pressure, and acts as a one-way check valve to maintain residual pressure in the system after the engine is turned off. The diaphragm pressure regulator is not adjustable and should be replaced if system pressure is not within the specifications given in 6.6 Fuel Pressure Tests and Specifications.
